I recently had to rescue a woman from a wild-eyed crack head in front of my sixplex last week. I ended up getting a little crazier than I had planned but once the adrenaline kicks in I usually black out. I've been told by my wife Elyse that I created a few new words that afternoon. [This video][1] contains footage of the man I had the altercation with. It blows my mind to think that someone would just hang around, yelling at anyone and everyone while selling crack. I'm assuming that the word inconspicuous doesn't exist in this man's vocabulary. The second half of the video is more of a montage of footage that I shot with Aaron Weatherford. Aaron plays Coonie in the Randy series if you didn't already know that. He's also quite handy with a camera. I hope you enjoy my perspective of Kansas City. Stupid dial-up... Haven't taken on any crackheads, but I get the whole hero-mode thing. One day my wife and I came out of the movies and saw some idiot in a souped up Civic tearing through the parking lot, smacking the bumper of a parked car. They started to speed off. What do I do? I take off in a sprint, as if I were able to catch and stop a car by myself, restrain the bad guys and fly off into the sunset. As I'm running, I see two cops leaning against the wall outside the theater. I yell at them to do their jobs (and some other things that I normally would never say to a cop), they hop in their cruiser and pull the guys over. I then went over and asked if they needed a statement since I had a pretty clear view of the whole incident. One of them looks at me and asks,"Did they hit your car?"
"Well, no, but I saw it happen and I thought --"
"Just get out of here, alright?"
So I left, annoyed and confused.

I have nothing but respect for police officers. They have a difficult, often thankless job. But they're still people and most of the time, I don't like people.
A person who goes out of their way to help someone else, is a pretty rare thing. Kudos to you both for your selflessness. My kind of people.

Ughhh....Ruthless!! Imagine showing the police the "surveilance" video. I just started blubbering something along the lines of "well, you see I'm not just shooting this video to catch some crack head...no one wants to see that. I'm just trying to amuse myself." That statement was followed by the best question the cops asked me "What exactly DO you Do?" I guess I just came off crazy...or lame. I should have just said.."What do I do? Your lookin at it."

I can't wait until I see the footage with Coonie. Apparently I wasn't special enough to see advanced footage of that one. THANKS.

I liked it. Very raw footage of how KC really is. Beautiful shots taken around KC, also awesome. I really liked it, the Hymie's Basement "Ghost Dream" song fit perfectly. Keep them coming.

Man that was awesome. I too, love the footage taken around Kansas City- it was beautiful. I also like the shot looking through the bike wheel- I know that's random- but I just wanted to say that I liked it.
