3 things to do this week

Monday entertainment: Comedy night @ the Jackpot

It's open-mic chuckles with this slowly-but-surely growing weekly at 943 Mass. Performances start at 9 p.m.

Tuesday dance: Free trials @ Point B Dance

Itching to throw on your dancing shoes and give cutting a rug a try? This studio, 3115 W. Sixth Suite H., is having free trials of its instruction in hip-hop dancing (starting at 6 p.m.), lyrical dancing (6:30 p.m.) and the hep-est form of movement, jazz dancing (7 p.m.). These classes are free, with sign-up for paid lessons available.

Wednesday talks: When will books die?

Spooner Hall on KU's campus is having a lunch-time idea cafe from noon to 1:30 p.m. to discuss the death of the printed word (otherwise known as pretty-much every dinner with this rapidly former journalist). There's a limit of 40 guests, so those interested should RSVP to thecommons@ku.edu.
