Typical reactions. The sophisticated Lawrencian fears mocking actual golfers since that reveals their own low economic status; instead they pick on the put-put golfers. "Not in my neighborhood," they say. "It's too blue collar, too crass." However, put-put courses do not require the dangerous turf-management chemicals found on real golf courses, revealing that their green paint substituting for grass is more environmentally-friendly than an actual golf course.
I say build it and "they" will come to play and let the nay-sayers and real estate agents be dammed.
