Just a few short weeks after receiving a brand-new Polaroid camera as a gift from my sister, Polaroid announced it would no longer be manufacturing film for said camera. $#@%#!! [Throws camera in closet drawer with ancient Game Boy, first cell phone, etc.]
The film has been and for a short while at least, is still available if you look. The Walgreens near my apartment still carries it. Yet, while I still love the pictures, at $2 or more apiece, their appeal is greatly diminished... it's no fun if I'm so stingy with the film that people pose. I'm also not interested in battling artists on ebay for the stuff.
Well, my bummers can (mostly) begone! If you are, like me, a fan of the fuzzy, discolored, warm quality of the instant photo of your youth, go to Rollip.com. You just choose the effect you want, and upload. Aaaand I've found the way I'm probably going to spent the rest of my night.
