Luckily, there's a place you can turn if you're worried the earth has been destroyed: http://qntm.org/board

    Spectacular link.

    "current geocide count: 0
The Current Geocide Count (CGC) indicates in real time how many geocides have taken place; that is, the number of times the Earth has been destroyed. A value of "0" indicates that at present, the Earth has not been destroyed. In the event of the Earth being destroyed, the CGC will be increased by one, to read "1"."

Agreed: "A "Green" Earth-Destruction Alert Level (EDA Level) indicates that the Earth has not been destroyed."

Thank god. I was thinking that the birds chirping outside my window were just my imagination and that the Earth had indeed been destroyed...

Turns out I just needed some coffee.

  4. tomking (Tom King) says…

When I left the house this morning, the Earth did not appear to have been destroyed. I'll keep an eye out and report back any changes.

    Three things:

¢ Is it me, or is the giant meteorite too perfectly round?

¢ Why is the meteorite glowing while in space? Is there an evil menace behind all of this?

    ¢ run for your lives!!!!!

Tia Leoni was hot in deep impact.

  9. Shelby (anonymous) says…

Crap, I think the Earth has been destroyed.

Or...wait a sec, it was green right?

Wow = look how those palm trees still stay upright as they are being swept by a fire storm thousands of feet high. We might want to plant a few of them in Kansas..... Oh and we need to check out what kind of 2x4's could still remain after the rest of the building went through that fire.
